WELCOME TO A NEW SEASON

Joshua said: “…we have not passed this way before.”

Welcome to my new home; at least my online home. Thank you so much for joining me. This is where you can follow me as I continue to follow the Lord in this new season of transition.

Recently I was blessed to walk in the Footsteps of Paul with almost 100 of the precious saints of God.  It was on that trip that I sensed the Lord confirming and answering my prayers for wisdom and direction as a transition from over four decades of trying to lead God’s people in the Family of Champions.  Each day I sensed the Lord leading me and confirming his will for this next season of my life.  I believe He has given me three priorities.

  • a. Paul served the Church at Jerusalem, having been sent by the leadership with Barnabas to carry the Gospel to the Gentiles.

    b.     He would return to Jerusalem; Acts 21-23, as his “home base.”

    c.      So it is with me, my first priority is to serve my Pastor who follows me as Joshua followed Moses and Timothy followed Timothy.

  •   This is my gift of teaching.  Eph 4:11.

    b.     Paul went far beyond Jerusalem serving the Lord and building up churches and church leaders in the “uttermost parts of the world.”

    c.      I will follow the pattern of Paul and sensitively seek the doors that the Lord opens for ministry; Acts 16.

      i.     Paul learned that God often gives direction without details.

ii.     After the Holy Spirit closed several doors that Paul wanted to go through, the Lord opened the door to Macedonia.

iii.     I learned Macedonia is not a city, but a region, an area; like Southern California, or the South or East Coast.

iv.     I only want to go through doors that the Lord opens where he wants me to share, and minister to His people.

    d.     This call on Paul’s life took him to Mars Hill where he shared the truth of God in what might today be similar to the “academy”.  Technically it was a gathering of philosophers.  It was the place where during the Roman era it was responsible for various educational and philosophical/religious concerns as well as legal matters such as forgery and standards of measurement

    i.     I see this related to the call of God on my life to serve in the Academy.  I am presently Senior Advisor on Community Reconciliation to the President of Biola University.  I have served as founding board member and past President of The King’s University.

ii.     I have a passion for equipping the next generation of Kingdom leaders. The Lord continues to open doors for me to teach in colleges and universities.  By the grace of God, I will continue this ministry.

  • a. Macedonia International Bible Fellowship is a network of spiritual sons and daughters from South Africa to London, from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

    b.     As Paul devoted his time, prayers, oversight and encouragement, God used him to bless his sons like Timothy and Titus and strengthen churches like Philippians, Colossians, and Ephesians.

Here is my request of you.  It follows the pattern of Paul in Ephesians who taught the reality of spiritual warfare; closing with the identification of the last two spiritual weapons, one more commonly known and one often overlooked.  Paul says in Ephesians 6:17 “…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.  Pray also for me!

I call your attention...  Paul says, “Pray for me.”  That is my request of you.  Please pray for me.  I will provide ongoing prayer points as the Lord takes me further into this new season of my life.  Pray for me!  Pray especially for my health.  Pray for my wife and my family. Pray that I will have all that I need to do all that the Lord is calling me to do.

I pray this over your life:  May the Lord bless you.

May His presence and His power go before you to lead you; beside you to protect you;  behind you to push and encourage you; above you to cover you; beneath you to sustain you and in you to fill you with His presence and power that your life may bring honor and glory unto Him.  In the mighty name of Jesus.  Amen
